Something Unshakable

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Oh the Sovereignty of God!

We WILL NOT fear. 

Yes, even though we see things are happening around us; Yes, even though we hear outcry and outrage…

Yes, even then, God is in the midst of His people; even then, we shall not be overcome with fear; even then, God will help us. 

Yes, even then..God can say one word and all will cease. 

This is a God that I want to know! 

This is a God that I want to be with! 

Because what is the other option?

When I realized I Was a Cynic

I think most of us could say, we know what the optimistic, positive person is like.

They look on the bright side.

They have positive words to say, even in the hard times.

They frame things as potentials and solutions rather than problems and downfalls.

I thought I was this person. 

It’s Time to be Courageous

We are in a very unique time right now.

Our lives are in a way put on hold from all that we thought was important.

We are faced with the reality of our situations and the reality of our lives, and might I say, the reality of death.

But also..the time is ripe to rise up and be courageous.
